TRAILER: Mr. Peabody & Sherman

Oh, this is such a throwback to my childhood and watching reruns of Mr. Peabody & Sherman from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Is the cartoon running anywhere on TV these days? I'm not sure this generation even knows who these adorable characters are, but Dreamworks Animation is bringing these adored characters to the big screen.

The star-studded cast voicing the characters includes Ty Burrell, Max Charles, Ariel Winter, Allison Janney, Stephen Colbert, Leslie Mann, Stanley Tucci, Patrick Warburton, Lake Bell, Zach Callison and Dennis Haysbert. For 3D fans, this might be a fun movie to catch on the big screen.

TRAILER: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty Starring Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig

One of my favorite short stories from my school days, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty by James Thurber, is being rebooted. There was a 1947 big screen version starring Danny Kaye, but Hollywood feels like it is time for an update. Audiences can expect to see it in theatres on Dec. 25, so that means the studio is aiming for awards show season.

The story revolves around an average man who has five heroic dreams. Will he see his dreams realized? The film version stars Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Sean Penn, Shirley MacLaine and Patton Oswalt.

VIDEO: Indy 500 Featurette for TURBO

Coming July 17 in 3D, it's Dreamworks Animation's latest movie offering called TURBO. Here's an official description of the film:


"From the makers of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, TURBO is a high-velocity 3D comedy about an underdog snail whose dreams kick into overdrive when he miraculously attains the power of super-speed. But after making fast friends with a crew of streetwise, tricked-out es-car-goes, Turbo learns that no one succeeds on their own. So he puts his heart and shell on the line to help his pals achieve their dreams, before Turbo-charging his own impossible dream: winning the Indy 500."

The animated feature stars Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins,Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Snoop Dogg, a.k.a. Snoop Lion and Samuel L. Jackson.
