However, we do have a return guest who kicked off our season, Julz Tocker! He's here in the U.S. this week and I thought we had to take advantage of that…and to all of the people who were tweeting me to get him on--I heard you!

Loved Maks as a judge exactly what I've been asking for from a judge for several seasons now. Funny and constructive critiques without getting derogatory and his "talk" matched his scores which isn't always the case at that desk.

"Dancing with the Stars" it's still a competition before all or a large TV Show?

For Anna and Julz - We've heard Karina talk a lot about how Corbin was her dream partner this season. So my question is: Who would your dream partner be if you were on the show/on the show again (for Anna)?
ReplyDeleteQuestion for the whole crew... the debate always kind of rages whether DWTS is a dance show or an entertainment show and the merits of whether the final should come down to the best dancers or the most popular. Comparing this season to last season, this season I don't think anyone could have predicted the entire final four based off the first couple of weeks, while last season it was pretty clear cut from the very beginning of who was going to be there in the end and eliminations were super predictable. Does one way make the show better than the other? Andy was the closest thing to Bill last season but he had a lot of previous skeletons in his closet.
ReplyDeleteAlso how much more impressive is it that Emma has gotten Bill this far without the huge established fan base that some of the other pros (Derek, Mark, Karina, Cheryl) have.
There have been a lot of rumors about the judging panel this week with Len thinking about leaving? Should the panel be replaced or should there be a rotating judging panel similar to The Voice? What are your thoughts and who would you like to see as replacements?

Also wanted to mention that Derek worked on the acoustic version of Locked out of heaven with the music people from DWTS to make it suitable for Viennese waltz. Their dance (heavenly beautiful) and the Kerli version of the song (imho better than the original) complemented each other perfectly. You see, I can't help but be biased :)

Hi Kristyn! Before I get to my question for Julz, I just wanted to say something about last night's episode. As you may recall, a few weeks ago I requested that you ask Witney about her love life on Afterbuzz, because of the rumor she was hooking up with someone from DWTS. Well, after watching the red-hot bumper Witney performed with Val, I think it's pretty obvious they're an item, lol! And yes, I know many people may think the near-kiss at the end was just an act, but watch Amber's reaction to it --- she mouths the word "Whoa!" and looks at Derek. So I don't believe Witney and Val were faking their chemistry.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is, when Witney first joined DWTS last spring, I knew it wouldn't be long before she got involved with someone, because there are so many attractive men on that show, and Witney is a bombshell who just oozes sexuality. And I predicted she would date either Val or Julz, so there you have it!
Anyway, my question for Julz is......A while back he tweeted jokingly about wanting to audition for The Bachelor. Would he do the show if it was offered to him? And what would he prefer, being a pro on DWTS, or starring in The Bachelor, which makes no use of his dance skills, but probably pays more and makes you a household name? Thanks and sorry for the long post!
Hi! Wit is not dating anyone from DWTS. I don't feel like it's proper to comment any further on her personal life, but I just want to clear up any story before it begins. I do agree she and Val had fantastic chemistry, but it's only on the dance floor. :)

ReplyDeleteI had a few topics I hope you guys have time to discuss
-The opening number by Mandy Moore was super cool she did a great job.
-The all guy bumper was amazing. I love seeing the male pros. It was cool that it wasn't ballroom either.
-Val & Witney bumper was super hot.
-I liked Maks as a judge. His scoring was fair. The 9 for Amber's first dance seems right to me. I wouldn't have given it all 10's.
Thoughts on Dances:
-Corbin: 1st dance was theatrical....2nd dance was technically superb. Nothing else to say... Amazing dancing but on the connection/emotional level...I don't know.
-Amber: 1st dance was great but...I'm not sure. I felt like I've seen something similar to that on SYTYCD? Some hip hop elements so I felt like I've seen a lot of that from this season. Great routine that she performed the HELL out of! 2nd dance - was nice and pretty. Some 10's well deserved but I wasn't blown away by it either.
-Bill & Leah: Did about the same as they've been doing for a couple of weeks. Though I thought Bills 2nd dance was a nice change of pace.
Jack - 1st dance was good but not really his style. His 2nd dance: DANCE OF THE NIGHT. I was NOT expecting that from him. So good! He might be able to sneak in for the win?
Can't wait for tonight's show guys!
