AfterBuzz TV DWTS: Julz Tocker

Hello, Everyone! It was so great to be back in studio with the entire DWTS AfterBuzz TV team. I missed them and I missed you.

I see your comments coming in, so I want to clarify a few things so they make sense to you.

--Sean Cheesman/Derek Hough choreography: I was in NO way implying Derek copied Sean. There are a ton of differences to the routine. The beginning table work reminded me of Sean's choreography, but you can clearly see the the direction each choreographer took. Watch Sean's routine here.

--Debbie Allen: Were you just as shocked as I was to learn about Corbin's dance experience with Debbie Allen? Ms. Allen's school is legendary for producing quality dancers, so I know it shouldn't surprise me…but…wow! It explains a lot about this season.

--Predictions:  We made predictions for next week's possible winner, but as I like to say, "it ain't over until that freestyle hits the floor." I'm expecting top level choreography from Karina and Derek, so it should be a great night of dance. If fans are voting for the best dancer, Corbin or Amber will be the winners. If fans rally around their favorite dancer based on story, Jack or Bill could have a serious shot. (Although I think the judges' scores will not allow this scenario to happen, but we know stranger things have happened.)

--Victor Ortiz: If you missed his appearance last season, you can watch how he mauled the pillows on the AfterBuzz couch during the interview. The chat room fans call it the "Victor Ortiz couch."

We loved having Julz Tocker back in studio. His energy and insight always bring so much to the table. It was really appreciated!

  1. Oh the legendary Victor Ortiz interview...ha ha ha. Good to know the couch is named after him. Great show. I really enjoyed Julz as guest host. Some really great insight and expertise on the dances and choreo. from Anna and Julz. Really fun show tonight...great energy. You guys just play off each other so well when you are all in studio - Kristyn, Jake, Suri, Anna...and Julz fit in nicely. Here's to the finale!

    1. Thanks, we all prefer to have everyone in studio. I've had a busy host schedule this fall and Anna has been traveling a lot, too. Glad we will all be together next week as well.

  2. Loved this episode! You guys are great together, especially when you are all in the studio. I sometimes find it hard to follow when someone gives their opinion from the phone. This week the conversation and critiques just flowed from one person to the other. Julz was a great guest. He was honest, but found something positive to sat about everyone. I have to say Kristyn you are a great anchor! This week was probably hard to do for some of the team, but this episode was sharp, concise, honest and entertaining! Kudos! Looking forward to Wednesday's show too!

    1. I love how brave Suri and Jake were this week. They took some hits last week, but I'm proud they got back on the horse and got out there.

      Thanks, Meggie! xo

  3. I was shocked myself to see the level of professional training that Corbin has had and they still asked him on the show, I know there have been Stars in the past with some dance exp, But It's a whole different ball game than professional training. I don't even think you can lump Amber in with Corbin, She has not taken even 1 dance class before this show, Yes she had some dance moves on Glee but that is hardly formal training. So the way I look at it is Jake, Bill and Amber are what the true concept of the show is suppose to be about, Corbin is in a field all by himself. Was great to see Anna and you back and Julz was great, I also think Jake had nothing to be brave about, He was great last week and the same this week, Like the new look on your site here too.

    1. Hi Ron! Yes, the Corbin info was shocking. Especially after everyone argued for months over Zendaya last season. She took dance lessons as a kid…Corbin was in a professional training program. Veeeeery different. I wonder if that disclosure will affect fan voting at all?

      Thanks for watching! :)

    2. Yea I thought the whole Zendaya thing was just silly, So what she had some hip hop classes, To be honest she got most of my votes last season, I thought she was great, Until Kelly did that freestyle and just blew me away. I don't want to take anything away from Corbin, He is a very talented performer, But with all his training he should be, there is no surprise there. I'm hoping it's one of the other three for the win, To me that's what the show is suppose to be about.

  5. personally i think it was very stupid of corbin to have Debbie Allen speak for him in his package
    he shouldn't have ask her
on facebook everybody was complaning about it monday night and a LOT of people said it was cheating
most people know Debbie allen i really don't understand why corbin would ask her to basically say he was trained by one of the best
still rooting for Amber i loved the show i liked how organized it was and complete
