I believe the entire AfterBuzz team is in studio this week. I need to double check on Anna, but I am back from working in Detroit/Toronto. I can't wait to join the gang again. I am always happy to join via phone, but it's more fun to be there in person.

I am so glad you read it!! The film will be released Nov. 15. I missed a press screening in LA because I was out of town. Hope there's another one soon! I'll let you know if I see it before it comes out.

ReplyDelete1. Is there a sense of Deja Vu on elimination night? For Lindsay specifically, which elimination night was easier (SYTYCD or DWTS) and why?
2. What can be gained for the two of you going through the process of DWTS together?
3. What is your favorite style of ballroom dance, and what is your favorite non-ballroom style?
4. What is your favorite dance that each of you has done on SYTYCD? DWTS?
5. How do SYTYCD dancers live through tour? I went to see this season's tour on Thursday 10/17, and there were 41 numbers over about two hours.
6. Who are your dream dance partners?

What do Witney and Lindsay think of the inclusion of contemporary on this show? Personally, I would prefer if a professional contemporary choreographer were brought in if they continue to keep this style for future seasons. I think that would at least allow the show to gain some respect from contemporary dancers who may tune in. This show is lucky enough to have incredible world class trained ballroom dancers. It seems unfortunate that they are expected to dance let alone teach a style they've never trained in, and frankly it shows (ie. Tony and Leah).

Is Witney dating Jaymz Tuaileva? I'm asking because someone posted a comment on Chehon's IG that Witney is hooking up with a dancer from Dwts. Assuming this is true, by a process of elimination it's either Jaymz or Val, because they're the only guys not taken (Derek is available too, but he doesn't go for blondes,so he's out).
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, I know Witney won't actually say who she's hooking up with, obviously...she's young and has a wholesome image to maintain. But maybe you can get the answer from your inside sources, and discuss it indirectly on your blog...we'll just read between the lines.
(And if anyone thinks this is prying too much into Witney's personal life, admit it...you want to hear some juicy gossip too!)

ReplyDeleteUgh, this show! This season is very frustrating to watch. I don't know if they are trying to bring in ratings since they moved to one night or what but the judging and obvious propping is out of control this season! I actually like the cast overall but I don't know, even the pros seem frustrated this season. No one seems fully into it -- I'm sure that's just my mind trying to make something out of nothing to keep me interested in watching!
The judges are obviously giving leeway to some dancers (Leah and Elizabeth) and are very critical of the more popular dancers (Corbin and Amber) almost to a fault. I just feel like the integrity of the show has really gone down this season -- it's been shaky for a while but I feel like this year the producers aren't even trying to cover it up.
I guess I don't have a specific question but just needed to vent. How does the panel feel overall about this season? Am I the only one that thinks something feels off (other than the obvious one night a week format)?
Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts!
Just re-watching the spooky bombom group routine and it even though it wasn't my favorite mini-group routine the show has done, I think this was the best incorporation of jazz choreography I've seen so far on the show by the choreographers.
